About Barkell
Barkell Ltd is a private company founded in 1981 and owned by the present directors.
Production capacity at the present time is in excess of £1,000,000 per month, and facilities are readily expandable in the short term. Barkell owns a three acre site on a prestigious industrial estate in Consett.
There is currently 48,000 sq. feet of manufacturing space, with a ready storage area of a further 30,000 sq. feet. There is also a dedicated design and engineering block of 4,500 sq. feet.
We presently have a workforce of approximately 100 employees with Technical Sales Engineers and Agents throughout the United Kingdom. The skilled work force has many years of experience in manufacturing Air Handling Units and related products.
The Company employs computer technology in all departments to assist in the administration, estimating, design and manufacture of the product.
Management policy promotes continued development of both the product and the skill level of all employees.
Bespoke design software is used to ensure accuracy and consistency in design.
Barkell operate a documented quality assurance system. Procedures and documentation ensure traceability from design to manufacture. Additionally we enjoy excellent long term relationships with our supply chain partners.
All stages of design, contract and manufacture are closely monitored by senior management, to ensure a timely response to customer queries and achieve on time delivery.
